Auditor’s Office Launches #VoteReady Outreach Effort

The Benton County Auditor’s Office is launching an outreach effort to encourage voters to Act Early, Vote Safely as the 2020 election season kicks off this week with the mailing of ballots to military and overseas voters.

Primary Election ballots go out in the mail July 15th, while ballots for Military and Overseas voters go out in the mail this coming Wednesday, June 17th.

Citizens are encouraged to check their status early to ensure they are currently registered and/or their information is up to date and correct. Voters can register to vote, check their status, and make necessary updates at www.votewa.gov .

Auditor Brenda Chilton states: “The Auditor’s Office is taking a number of measures to mitigate the risks of COVID-19 for Benton County voters. The most important thing citizens can do right now to vote safely is check their status. Making sure you are registered and that your record is up-to-date is key to ensuring your ballot is mailed to you timely and to the correct address.”
