Click here for more information regarding the construction happening at the Benton County Justice Center (7122 W Okanogan Place, Kennewick).

Benton County is currently in the process of constructing its new Administration Building, to be located at the Justice Center campus.

About the Building
The Benton County Administration Building will house the Tri-Cities offices of the Benton County Auditor, Assessor, Commissioners, Treasurer, and multiple Administration departments. Consolidation of the Auditor, Assessor, and Treasurer offices on the first floor of the new building will allow for a one-stop shop in Tri-Cities for all of your licensing, recording, and property needs.

About the Project
This project will be conducted in two (2) main phases. Phase 1 will kick off on Monday, February 17, 2020 and will last for approximately 90 days. Phase 2 will encompass the remaining 15 months of the project, with anticipated project completion in May 2021.

The project was awarded by the Benton County Board of Commissioners to Banlin Construction, LLC on January 28, 2020 in the amount of $13,626,417.00 plus Washington State sales tax (WSST).

Project Impacts
While we are looking forward to the addition of this new facility, we are also aware that there will be impacts and inconveniences to the public while construction is ongoing. Mainly, parking at the Justice Center campus will be heavily impacted, with a significant loss in public parking.

During Phase 1, public access to the Justice Center campus via Young Street will not be available (including access to the Benton-Franklin Health District building), and the only access to the parking lot will be via Okanogan Place. Included with this media release, you will find a map of project impacts during Phase 1 (red line), Phase 2 (blue line), both phases (purple line).

During construction, we encourage all visitors to the Justice Center campus to carpool and/or take public transportation whenever possible via Ben Franklin Transit, with the Three Rivers Transit Center conveniently located just across the street. In addition, the Toyota Center has graciously agreed to allow overflow parking from the Justice Center to park at the Toyota Center during construction.

We would like to thank the community for their support and understanding during project construction as we work to improve the facilities and services we provide.

Please see documents below outlining the Phases and available parking.
