Tip of the Month: Wet Weather Safe Driving Tips: The season has changed and Autumn is here in all of its Beauty. With the changing of the leaves and the cooler temperatures also comes more possibilities of rain. And with rain comes wet and slick roads. When the roads are wet or you're driving in the rain, one of the things you can do is to avoid using cruise control. This will give you a better chance of adjusting your speed sooner. Also, leave plenty of room between vehicles to allow for slowing down and stopping. With wet roads, it can take longer to slow down your vehicle, even with new tires. And then there is the possibility of hydroplaning. To reduce the chance of this happening, slow down, avoid hard braking, turning sharply and stay in the tracks of the vehicle in front of you. Maintenance of your vehicle is also important and you might want to check that your tires are in good shape and don't need to be replaced. As well as your windshield wipers. Ultimately be cautious and alert when driving in this kind of weather.
